Jay-Z speaks on signing Will Smith’s daughter to RocNation

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

The Roc just got a lot younger. Jay-Z publicly spoke about signing Will Smith’s nine year old daughter, Willow, to his RocNation label earlier today with Ryan Seacrest.

“We at Roc Nation are excited to work with Willow,” Jay-Z stated. “She has an energy and enthusiasm about her music that is truly infectious.  It’s rare to find an artist with such innate talent and creativity at such a young age.  Willow is about to embark on an incredible journey and we look forward to joining her as she grows in all aspects of her career.”

Willow is the youngest member of RocNation and her single “Whip My Hair” has become an instant teen single sensation. Wonder how her older brother Jayden feels about this. He might be a movie star but he doesn’t have a record deal with Jay-Z.

Nike Dunk High (GS) BLK/E.GRN/SLVR

Smurf meets Tron? Whatever the futuristic blue-green hue and silver Swoosh inspires, the new colorway of the Nike Dunk High should appeal to those who like to play it cool and wouldn’t mind adding a little ostentation to their stride. The new colorway features neon aqua color, with Nike’s special safari print accent on the front, contrasted with patent black leather lace placket and heel to add that extra high-octane shine to the rest of the shoe and to complement the silver Swoosh. These are currently available online via mita, for those who are not afraid of wearing a little color on their feet and enjoys putting their best foot forward.

The Uno one wheeled motorcycle

Invented by an 18 year old from Canada – Ben Gulak , the UNO is a one wheel motorcycle that truly balances out. Right now there are 3 working prototypes. It only has one switch which is the power switch! To go forward you push your body weight forward to tilt the machine. To back up, just lean back. The farther you lean the faster it goes. Whats more is that this bike is electric so its more eco friendly.

Check out this article on the design of it on Motorcylcemojo. Ben had some help from a few companies after selling his idea to them, but all they really did is give him some of the necessary components like the body, wheels, and the complex gyros to balance the cycle…

Nike Air Force 1 Low Gorge Green

NY shop Extra Butter pulled the covers off two great patent leather based Air Force 1s earlier this year, and now they’re back with a third. “WOW! Okay, so first we had the black patent, then the cranberry patent, now the “gorge green” has arrived, and you guessed it… they are GORGEous! Couldn’t resist the pun, and can’t resist these new pair of forces either.”
