It’s been 20 years since the Dream Team was assembled for the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, recapturing the gold medal in basketball after a dismal showing in Seoul in 1988, in which the men’s team walked away with the bronze medal. The 1992 team, featuring NBA players for the first time, showcased an All-Star roster including Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing and Karl Malone. It’s rightly been referred to as the greatest team ever in the world of sport, and Nike Sportswear is celebrating their achievement with a special collection, the standout piece of which is the Dream Team Destroyer Jacket. The footwear selection, meanwhile, highlights USAB colorways from the Dream Team and beyond: Nike Air Force 180 (Charles Barkley, 1992), Nike Air More Uptempo (Scottie Pippen, 1996), Nike Shox BB4 (Vince Carter, 2000) and the Nike Huarache 2K4 (Carlos Boozer, 2004). A few weeks ago, the world got a glimpse of a new pair of Foamposite Ones dubbed “Galaxy”. Clearly a sample of the shoe leaked early, but now the official shoe is slated to release this Friday. Greg Grovey from the Nice Kicks flagship store goes into detail with a pair of Galaxies. Laced in an all-over constellation-like print with a glow-in-the-dark sole, and “Remove Before Flight” tag. The shoe was made to go along with this years NBA All Star game, which is held in Orlando,Florida; home to the Kennedy Space Center. The Nike store announced that they will not be carrying the shoe via online store, so good look grabbing a pair. More pics after the jump.

Slam Jam gets together with Italian boot maker Diemme for Spring/Summer 2012. They worked on the Diemme Movida Basket in two colorways. “This model, originally designed for trekking feature hydro-repellent suede, gum toe, Vibram sole and Micro midsole, white leather lining and a double set of laces. Perfect for these freezing days but also for the outdoor activities of the upcoming spring.”

This latest F.I.L. exclusive from Visvim makes for welcoming news with designer Hiroki Nakamura continuing his nous on denim. The SS Hoodie Damaged-7 represents a design derived from the nomad jacket while the distressed denim body is highlighted by patches in various vintage fabrics and patterns.

This SUPRA Stress Pack is made up of the  Skytop and mid-top Skytop III, both with a black canvas  heavily washed and distressed upper.  Both shoes have a comfortable off-white terry lining, waxed laces and bone-white sole (vulcanized for the Skytop, cupsole for the Skytop III). The Skytop III has a black molded TPR cage with black laces. Both the Skytop and Skytop III are available now at Supra retailers and online.

This is Dope!!!

The Valentine’s-themed “Heartbreaker” from Supra is a new version of the Society. Red suede and Express TUF canvas & it sits on a black vulcanized sole with white foxing adorned with red stripes.It also has white pinstripes at the back of the collar, plus a red broken-heart graphic on each pitch-black footbed and a broken-heart hang tag.  The production run on the Society Heartbreaker II is limited to just 413, with each pair individually numbered.
